Drying

Originally I wanted to use only wood glue to hold together my model, however I was told it was not very sturdy. So I opted to use screws instead, and was told the 10mm MDF would splinter as it is too thin, thus I got the 18mm which then made all my previous measurements null and void.

Although that crisis is averted, I have still used glue for the facade of the shelf and box, because they are the ones that would be "seen" once this is in place in the wall structure. The screws on the sides and top would not be seen and are necessary in order to hold the model together properly.

I am slowly waiting for the wood glue to dry, it takes about 24 hours:

Also, it needs to be weighed down in order for the glue to stick, hence the books.
