1:5 model

We were told to do a 1:5 model of our detail in cardboard by Monday. I have used different card to indicate where different types of wood would be used. Cotton balls were also used in lieu of insulation.

My plans/drawings. Figuring out the length in 1:5 scale as well as the measurements for the individual block and shelf and overall structure.

The detail I have chosen to model is of course, the wall design. I believe it most accurately shows my idea of gathering in terms of taking away and adding (primarily in the use of the block.) In this particular detail, I chose to show both the "shelf' (primary use of storage) and the "block" (that which will create the dynamic, easily altered studio setting.) In order to make it clear that it is attached to the wall, I am also choosing to model the insulation (following on from the idea of removing yourself from the outside). The block and shelf are 250 x 250 mm, though ideally in the actual wall, there will be blocks and shelf of largely varying degrees, however these measurements are ideal in fitting both of these, as well as adhering to the half a meter limit we were given on size.
