Jung's idea about waking up manifested itself in a way I did not expect. Her design was very architectural at first glance and I was curious to understand it's many layers and bright colours. Rather than building an architectural space in the real world, her's was intended to inhabit the world of the mind. The levels of her building were to be perceived as "levels of consciousness" whilst coloured objects, twisting and continuously changing colour were dreams.
As you enter the building, you move up past the levels of consciousness, each getting steadily brighter, until you reach the top, a completely sunlit, outdoor space which is the final step or "waking up." The space in which this is done is highly restricted, as our own beds generally are.
Her idea was strong and powerfully excecuted. A lot of thought went into this project and it clearly shows. Taking her idea past the realm of the physical and exploring others means shows that she considered all aspects of the idea of "waking up" and yet still managed to incorporate them in a space that is both architectural and meaningful.
The only thing that might not have been necessary was the presence of a "sunshine wall" which though it added a certain amount of aesthetic appeal, it did not do anything to reinforce her design and thus took away from the powerful message by creating an impression of too many objects/ideas cluttering one main focus.
